Update.

Autumn  2017, yes half way through another very interesting year.
Some of these interesting valuations required on vessels  are listed below.

1. A   23m Off Shore Motor Yacht. New owner.
2. Two 43m Dump Barges Offshore. To  be towed to Auckland.New owners.
3. A Fire damaged launch, PAV valuation, written off.
4. A Leopard 46 Late model Sailing Catamaran. New owner.
5. Four separate claims, four  stolen trailer boats in January and February. Insurance PAV's.
6. An 11m Express Cruiser crashed into another boat at speed. Insurance, written off.
7. A Buddy Davis 47 Sport Fisher. New owner.
8. Two launches drifted away from their moorings approximately 12m, ended in disaster. Insurance PAV, written off.
9. A 4.5m Stead craft trailer boat, the owner (88 ) anchored fishing, a sailing yacht sailed over the top of the dingy. Insurance PAV,   written off.
10. Several Sailing yachts from 73 to 83 ft.
11. Several large Motor Yachts, including an 83 ft Offshore Express Cruiser.
 And many others.

There is much happening with a steady request for valuations, often there are six to seven valuations ahead, the hours are long. it is very interesting work as no two VESSELS are the same, and the 'Scope of Work' is different for every valuation as you can read from above. A Template does not work for boat valuations.

A  WORD OF WARNING regarding the theft of Trailer boats. All of theses claims stated that  their  boat was well SECURED, they obviously heard nothing. It is often a long process before the Insurance company pays out, so go the extra mile to ensure you do not become a victim.

I share with you a note of thanks I received .The vessel was North of Auckland, in an very interesting location and I did have my doubts as to being able to ride to the location.

" Ian, many thanks for attending to the valuation so promptly.

Your figure is about what I had hoped for

It was a pleasure to deal with a professional who really does know their stuff.

The extra anchor, flares, first aid etc are installed and I have 4 rod holders ready to fit.

The boat will have 6 life jackets.

The BBQ is by Dometic. I also have a big bait station from Burnsco.

Thanks again and I hope the Tauranga boat sale completed ok.

Miles."
